– THE PILIBOS SCHOOL DELIVERED NEW SUPPORT TO THE ARMENIANS IN ALEPPO
On Thursday, April 27, 2023, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, welcomed the 12th grade students from Rose & Alex Pilibos Armenian School to the Western Prelacy. In attendance were Archpriest Fr. Vicken Vassilian, Pastor of St. Garabed Church of Hollywood and Mrs. Maral Tavitian, Principal of Rose & Alex Pilibos School.
The recitations and songs performed by the students filled the hall and hearts with warmth, which soon became enthused by the words of appreciation and blessings of the Bishop. The Prelate wished the students a safe and joyous adventure, towards their upcoming trip to Armenia, which will bring unforgettable memories, and urged he urged them to always carry Jesus Christ in their souls, so that they can be protected against evil all throughout their lives.
The visit concluded by Mrs. Tavitian conveyed her regards to the Prelate, and on behalf of the entire school delivered a memento to Bishop Donoyan, as well as a new financial support raised by the students and teachers, addressed to their Armenian brothers and sisters in Aleppo. The students received a copy of Jacques S. Hagopian’s “Kouynzkouyn” book and wooden crosses.
