On Friday, September 18, 2020, Adventist Health Glendale celebrated its 115th anniversary with a reception held at the hospital’s garden.
On behalf of H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, Rev. Fr. Movses Shannakian attended and conveyed the blessings and congratulations of His Eminence.
In attendance were Hospital president Alice Issai, board and faculty members.
In his prayer, His Eminence stated that for the past 115 years, by the grace of God Adventist Health Glendale has not only had a history of healing, but a history of faith, love, compassion, hope, service, devotion, and sacrifice; in short, of faith in action. He stated that as children of God, each and every one of us is called to carry the burdens of one another and to manifest God’s love, mercy, and peace in our daily interactions with our brothers and sisters, especially to all experiencing pain and suffering, adding that the Adventist Health Glendale family has fulfilled this calling faithfully, treating patients not just as patients, but as God’s creatures, healing not only bodies but nursing hearts and souls.
The Prelate commended the tremendous courage and dedication of our frontline healthcare workers during the Coronavirus pandemic especially, who put their lives at risk to save the lives of their fellow man, which he stated is the epitome of Christian love.
In conclusion, His Eminence prayed for God to keep our healthcare workers from harm and grant them good health and renewed strength so that they may continue to be a blessing to others and continue their God-pleasing mission, and for God to grant the gift of health to all who are ailing.
