On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at noon, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, attended a special luncheon celebrating the 40-year partnership between the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) Western USA Regional Executive and Ararat Home. The luncheon took place at Ararat Home in Mission Hills, where more than 150 ARS members and guests gathered to share a meal with Armenian mothers, sisters, fathers, brothers, and loved ones spending their retirement years at Ararat Home. The celebration continued a meaningful tradition that has flourished and journeyed across four decades.
In his remarks, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian praised this remarkable collaboration and emphasized the importance of partnerships between community institutions, particularly between the ARS Regional Executive and Ararat Home. “This is a spirit of cooperation that has thrived for forty years and continues to bear lasting fruit in our community,” the Prelate said. H.E. Archbishop Khacherian offered his fatherly blessings and heartfelt appreciation to the leaders of both organizations and spoke warmly about the value of initiatives that bring joy and smiles to the faces of Armenian elders. The Prelate offered his strong support and encouragement for traditional programs and activities that, in his words, “directly strengthen and enrich the Armenian community in Los Angeles.”
