On Friday afternoon, February 6, 2026, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, received the Board of Directors of the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry, led by its president, Dr. Frieda Jordan.
The delegation extended their well wishes to the Prelate on the occasion of Christmas, and the New Year, and shared updates on their most recent accomplishments and completed initiatives. The delegation also requested that, in keeping with annual tradition, Archbishop Khacherian designate an upcoming Sunday as a Day of Prayer, and use the occasion to inform the faithful parishioners about the Registry’s national mission, the challenges it faces, and the goals it continues to pursue.
Archbishop Khacherian expressed his appreciation for the devoted leader, board members, and dedicated volunteers of the Registry, commending their lifesaving mission through bone marrow transplantation. Following a discussion, Archbishop Khacherian officially designated Sunday, March 15, 2026, as a Day of Prayer in support of the Registry’s mission. The prayer will take place at Forty Martyrs Armenian Apostolic Church of Orange County.
