On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, reflected on the year-end graduation ceremonies held throughout the Prelacy Armenian Schools bringing the 2025–2026 academic year to its end. The Prelate described these celebrations as undeniable evidence of the commitment with which the Western Prelacy continues to uphold the noble vision of the founding generation of our community.
Expanding on his remarks, Archbishop Khacherian stated:
“Participating in and supporting the Class of 2026 across multiple schools and milestones—from kindergarten and elementary school graduations to high school commencement—has brought me great pride and given me a glimpse into the future, “said Archbishop Kegham Khacherian. “Listening to the thoughts, aspirations, and achievements of our scholars is a powerful reminder of the strength and future of our community. Their dedication, perseverance, and accomplishments reflect not only their own hard work, but also the love and sacrifice of their families, who stand behind them as pillars of encouragement and guidance. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all of our graduates and to the families who have walked alongside them every step of the way.”
Archbishop Khacherian furthermore noted, “I also commend our Armenian schools and Board of Regents, whose commitment to academic excellence, faith, and cultural identity has helped nurture these young students into the leaders of tomorrow. These institutions provide far more than an education; they cultivate character, inspire purpose, and equip students with the knowledge and values needed to serve both our Armenian community and society at large. As I witnessed these celebrations across our schools, I was filled with hope. The talent, compassion, and determination of our students assure me that our future is in capable hands. May God continue to bless our graduates as they embark on the next chapter of their journey, and may they always use their gifts to uplift their families, their communities, and our Armenian nation.”
The year-end graduation ceremonies of the Prelacy Armenian Schools were successfully held from Friday, May 15, through Sunday, June 14, 2026. Archbishop Khacherian, accompanied by members of the Executive Council, attended as many of the ceremonies as possible.
The Prelate presided over the following graduation ceremonies and personally presented diplomas to the graduates. In his remarks, he expressed his sincere appreciation to the dedicated school leadership, administrators, teachers, parents, grandparents, benefactors, and members of the community, while extending his heartfelt blessings and congratulations to each graduating class and all in attendance.
