Dr. Seta Dadoyan, A Scholar And Professor, Visits The Western Prelacy

On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, received a visit at the Western Prelacy from Dr. Seta Dadoyan, a professor and scholar who had recently arrived in California. On Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Holy Martyrs Armenian Apostolic Church of Encino, with the blessing of H.E. Archbishop Khacherian, Dr. Seta Dadoyan will give a lecture dedicated to the 850th anniversary of the death of St. Nerses Shnorhali. The lecture will focus on the historical significance and service of the great Patriarch St. Nerses Shnorhali during the 9th century, titled “The Saint and Diplomat: A Perspective on His Historical Position and Career in the Armenian Church.”

During the intimate meeting, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian together with the visiting lecturer discussed and finalized the agenda for her upcoming lecture. Dr. Seta Dadoyan congratulated H.E. Archbishop Kacherian on his election as the Prelate of the Western Prelacy.

After discussing and sharing mutual reflections on the current challenges facing our homeland, nation, and the Armenian Church, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian conveyed his fatherly blessings to Dr. Dadoyan and wished her good health and success in her scholarly endeavors.

Dr. Seta Dadoyan’s lecture will take place on Friday, November 22, 2024, 6:30 PM, at Holy Martyrs Armenian Apostolic Church – 5300 White Oak Ave., Encino, CA 91313.
