On Sunday, November 17, 2024, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, traveled to Fresno to participate in the 10th Anniversary celebration of the establishment of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Fresno as well as a ceremony dedicated to the ten-year service rendered by Mr. Berj Apkarian, Honorary Consul, and currently a member of the Executive Council of the Western Prelacy. The ceremony was attended by Armenian and foreign religious leaders, high-ranking officials from the Republic of Armenia and the United States, as well as diplomats, judiciary and security department representatives, and delegates. Also in attendance were representatives from the Armenian Church, community organizations, Armenian and foreign associations, along with friends and guests.
During the ceremony, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian presented a Letter of Blessing from His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, addressed to Mr. Berj Apkarian on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Fresno. In the letter His Holiness Aram I expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Berj Apkarian for his ten years of diplomatic service as the first and current Honorary Consul of Armenia in Fresno, commending Mr. Apkarian for his patriotic efforts, initiatives, and programs aimed at strengthening and advancing Armenia’s prosperity through the consulate. His Holiness Aram I congratulated the Honorary Consul of Armenia in Fresno and Mr. Berj Apkarian on their ten-year anniversary, wishing them decades of success in their national and patriotic mission.
