H.E Archbishop Kegham Khacherian Presides Over The Western Prelacy Clergy Conference

On Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 11 a.m., H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, presided over a spiritual conference with the clergy of the Western Prelacy. The conference, was attended by all the pastors and priests from the parishes of the Western Prelacy of the United States and took place at St. Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church in Glendale. In the morning session of the conference, the clergy, with a pertinent agenda, engaged in a collective discussion and assessed the revitalization of spiritual, national, and organizational structures, as well as outreach efforts in their respective regions.

Following the opening prayer and welcoming remarks, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian addressed the attendees of the conference specifically reflecting on the significant role that pastors and priests of the church play in the spiritual and national aspects of their respective communities. Archbishop Khacherian stressed the importance of building strong relationships and increasing interactions between spiritual leaders of parishes and their congregations, to encourage wider participation in both church and community activities within their region.

The conference participants also examined and deliberated on the “Guidelines” for the clergy, and based on new and creative methods of implementation, the conference made revisions and adopted its updated guidelines. Additionally, the conference examined and discussed the general survey used by local parishes and reflected on topics of significance for local parishes, along with the current challenges in today’s spiritual life. This segment of the agenda concluded with the closing remarks and a prayer from H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian.

After conclusion of the conference, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian held individual meetings with the clergy where he shared his fatherly guidance, blessings, and well wishes with each clergy member.
