Archbishop Kegham Khacherian’s First Visit To Holy Martyrs Ferrahian High School

On the morning of Wednesday, November 20, 2024, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, made his first visit to Holy Martyrs Ferahian High School in Encino. The Prelate received a warm welcome from Archpriest Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian, Pastor of Holy Martyrs Armenian Apostolic Church in Encino, Mr. Vahe Benlian, Chairperson of the School Board at Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian School, Mrs. Sossi Shanlian, Principal of Holy Martyrs Ferahian High School, and students.

During Archbishop Khacherian’s visit to the school, a cultural program was presented inside the school’s gymnasium, where hundreds of students performed Armenian dances, songs, and poetry recitations, expressing their joy about the Prelate’s inaugural visit to their campus.

H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian shared his fatherly blessings and conveyed his happiness at being surrounded by so many students. In a heartfelt message, the Prelate urged the students always to preserve their Armenian identity and spirit, encouraging them to live as Armenians and to be proud of their Armenian heritage. H.E. Archbishop Khacherian also expressed his appreciation to the extensive school community thanking them for their pivotal presence and significant contributions to the Encino community and the Armenian nation.

Following the official program, H.E. Archbishop Kegham visited the classrooms of the school and had pleasant discussions with the students, where he shared his fatherly warm wishes and heartfelt blessings.

At the conclusion of his visit , the Prelate also attended a luncheon organized by the Board of Trustees of Holy Martyrs Armenian Church and the school’s prinicipal & Education Board.
