– FOR NEW YEARS AND CHRISTMAS,
THE WESTERN PRELACY SPONSORS 100 NEEDY FAMILIES IN ARTSAKH
On Tuesday, December 20, 2022, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, welcomed the first-grade students from Vahan & Anoush Chamlian School to the Western Prelacy, where they held a short Christmas program and congratulated the Prelate’s Christmas and New Year.
“The beautiful singing is the most eloquent expression of your faith; it is a reflection of the efforts of your parents and the consistent work of your teachers. My biggest gift this year is you and your ideal image of an Armenian-Christian, who is the guarantor of the continuity of our people,” said the Prelate and highly commended the request of the students that “we do not want a gift; rather, give our gifts to the children of Artsakh.”
The Western Prelacy, faithful to the path drawn by Christ and to the spirit of Antelias, continues to show its support to the Armenians of Lebanon and Syria. In response to the request of the students, with the blessing of Bishop Torkom Donoyan, the Western Prelacy once again extended a loving-hand to a hundred needy families in Artsakh, so that New Year’s and the miracle of Christmas may bestow heavenly warmth and hope to those families living in Artsakh.
