On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, paid a visit to Armenian Mesrobian School in Pico Rivera. Upon his arrival, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian was greeted by Very Rev. Fr. Muron Aznikian, Dean of Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Cathedral, Principal of Armenian Mesrobian School, and Angin Iskajyan, Director of Ron and Goharik Gabriel Preschool. Also present were Chris Guldjian, Chairperson of the Armenian Mesrobian School Board, along with School Board members Jirayr Poladian, Goharik Gabriel, and Tamar Orichian, as well as the students of Armenian Mesrobian School who eagerly welcomed H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian to their beloved school.
H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian began his visit by first going to the Ron and Goharik Gabriel Preschool, where the adorable preschoolers presented a brief program. Following his visit to the Preschool, the Prelate proceeded to the school’s recently constructed gymnasium, where students from Kindergarten to 12th grade gathered to enthusiastically welcome H.E. Archbishop Khacherian and presented a charming program.
At the conclusion of the program, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian delivered a heartfelt message expressing his appreciation to the leadership, principal, teachers, staff, and parents of Armenian Mesrobian School. The Prelate highlighted the significant role and purpose of Prelacy Armenian Schools in preserving the identity of Armenian Christian students and passing down our Armenian heritage and values to our young generation. H.E. Archbishop Khacherian encouraged the students to protect our precious language and culture and pass it down to future generations, particularly in the diaspora amidst the current intricate, complex, and challenging circumstances we are faced with.
H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian also visited classrooms and held warm conversations with students of various ages and grade levels, giving his fatherly blessings to both students and teachers.
Additionally, the Prelate was a guest at a special luncheon hosted by the welcoming Armenian Mesrobian School family.
