During the Pontificate of His Holiness Aram I Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia and by the order of His Grace Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America, the premiere issue of “CILICIA,” the official quarterly publication of the Western Prelacy was published today.
The special issue, volume I of 2021, is dedicated to the first anniversary of the election of Bishop Torkom Donoyan as Prelate of the Western Prelacy and constitutes a chronological record of his work as prelate and details the initiatives of the Western Prelacy.
The publication is a colorful 136-page compilation that highlights, under the leadership of Prelate Donoyan, the religious and national activities of the Western Prelacy from October 16, 2020 to September 15, 2021, as well as Armenian-American, Pan-Armenian and Diaspora issues. It was printed by the Glendale, California based Global Print Inc.
The special issue also covers the fallout of the 44-day war in Artsakh and assistance programs undertaken by the Western Prelacy; additionally, it features the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by President Joe Biden.
The editorial staff of “CILICIA” periodical, appointed by Prelate Donoyan, includes Seta Krikorian, editor in chief; Maral Habeshian, English editor of the first issue; Deacon Alex Kalayjian, head of layout and preprint production.
