On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, received a visit from Rev. Dr. Haroutune Selimian, President of the Armenian Evangelical Community of Syria. Rev. Dr. Selimian was accompanied by Rev. Hendrik Shanazarian, Minister of the Armenian Evangelical Union of North America, and Rev. Joseph Garabedian, Pastor of the Armenian Cilicia Evangelical Church of Pasadena.
The visit began with a warm and brotherly welcome, followed by a heartfelt discussion centered on the current state of the Syrian-Armenian community, the pressing challenges it faces, and the ongoing collaborative efforts by Armenian community leaders to address and overcome these hardships. On this occasion, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian commended Rev. Dr. Selimian and the visiting clergy for their faithful and devoted spiritual and pastoral service.
The meeting concluded with heartfelt well wishes for the Armenian nation and homeland. In a spirit of mutual encouragement, the spiritual brothers reaffirmed their commitment to faith and inspired one another to face the future with hope, strengthened by fatherly blessings.
