“Young Armenian Students Are The Hope Of Our Future, And Their Parents Are Our Strength,” Said Archbishop Kegham Khacherian
On the morning of Tuesday, March 24, 2026, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, received approximately 50 graduating Kindergarten students from the blue and green classes of Levon and Hasmig Tavlian Preschool and Kindergarten, which has served the Pasadena community for over three decades. The visit took place at the Dikran and Zarouhi Der Ghazarian Hall of the Western Prelacy. The students were accompanied by their parents and school representatives and had come to extend their Easter greetings to the Prelate.
The two groups of young students delighted the Prelate with their joyful presence and cultural performances. In his remarks, Archbishop Khacherian praised the students for their well-prepared group songs and recitations and expressed his appreciation for their performance. The Prelate also commended Dr. Garine Joukadarian, Director of Levon and Hasmig Tavlian Preschool and Kindergarten, along with the teachers of both groups and the parents, noting that it is especially encouraging to see the strong collaboration between home and school in providing Armenian-centered education and preserving national identity through their dedicated efforts.
A particularly memorable moment followed when, under the guidance of Archbishop Khacherian, the children entered the St. Dertad and St. Ashkhen Chapel of the Western Prelacy, where they respectfully and faithfully joined in singing the Lord’s Prayer together. The visit concluded with the Prelate offering his fatherly blessings and heartfelt holiday wishes to the children.
