
On the morning of Friday, June 20, 2025, following his return from the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, met briefly with the Western Prelacy’s communications team to share important updates.
The Prelate informed the team that during his visit to the Catholicosate in Antelias, following several days of working meetings, he held a private meeting with His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia. During the meeting, they discussed matters concerning the Western Prelacy and reviewed the detailed plans for His Holiness Catholicos Aram I’s upcoming pontifical visit to the region.
His Holiness Catholicos Aram I emphasized the meaningful, dedicated and active role the Western Prelacy has played, and continues to play, in advancing the mission of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia. His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, also expressed his appreciation for the active participation of California Armenian’s in the spiritual and national programs and initiatives of the Armenian community.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, extended his fatherly blessings and warm greetings to all the faithful members of the Western Prelacy, wishing them strength and continued success in their work, family life, community service, and church involvement, all in support of the Western Prelacy’s growth and progress.
We would like to note that His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, is scheduled to visit the Western Prelacy of the United States this October. Details about the pontifical visit will be provided in the near future.
