On Thursday, November 17, 2022, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, paid a visit to the Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian School and was welcomed by the Principal of the School Ms. Sossi Shanlian, Chairman of the Educational board Mr. Vahe Benlian. The Prelate toured the classrooms and met with students. In attendance were Very Rev. Fr. Zareh Sarkissian and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mr. Ara Papazian.
Thereafter, the Prelate visited Mary Cabayan Middle School, accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian. The Prelate was welcomed by the Principal of the School Mr. John Kossakian, teachers and students. Bishop Donoyan conducted the blessing of bread ceremony and delivered his message to the students, which was followed by a short program performed by the students. In his speech, the Bishop also emphasized the efforts of both parents and teachers in the Armenian upbringing of the new young generations.
Finally, the Prelate paid a visit to the ARS “Ashkhen Pilavjian” Preschool. He was welcomed by the Director of the Preschool Ms. Vehig Kaprielian, teachers and students. The Prelate also toured the classrooms and met with the students. On this occasion, he highly commended the efforts of the teachers, as well as the Armenian songs and recitations performed by the students, which immediately filled the moment with festive enthusiasm.
Bishop Donoyan delivered his message and stated; “Our Prelacy Schools have existed for decades and continue to be the safe haven of development and spiritual growth, where the youngest generations of our nation are born, flourish, grow and become servants to our nation and homeland.”
