
On Thursday, May 14, 2026, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, received a visit from the Co-Chairman of the Central Executive Council of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia, Mr. Krikor Mahseredjian, accompanied by Central Executive Council member from Los Angeles, Mr. Gaydzag Zetlian. Also present during the meeting was the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Western United States, Mr. Vahe Hovaguimian.
Archbishop Khacherian and Mr. Hovaguimian warmly welcomed Mr. Mahseredjian to the Western Prelacy. In turn, Mr. Mahseredjian expressed his happiness at once again being in Los Angeles and reflected on the recent Pontifical Visit of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I and its meaningful impact on the Armenian community throughout California. He noted that the enthusiasm, unity, and level of organization displayed by the community during the Pontifical Visit were deeply impressive and served as a vibrant expression of Armenian identity and communal commitment. Mr. Mahseredjian also conveyed the greetings and blessings of His Holiness to those present.
During the meeting, the participants also reflected on the longstanding and close cooperation between the Catholicosate and the Western Prelacy and commended the Western Prelacy’s church building and school centered mission, as well as the active participation and dedication of the faithful in the many spiritual, educational, national, and community centered initiatives organized throughout the Prelacy.
For his part, Archbishop Khacherian conveyed his respectful greetings to His Holiness Catholicos Aram I and, on behalf of the Western Prelacy, reaffirmed that the Prelacy and he personally, as always, remain firmly committed in their support of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia and its Catholicos of thirty years, His Holiness Aram I.
