On Wednesday morning, August 19, 2026, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, received with great joy the publication of a special commemorative volume dedicated to the sixth Pontifical Visit of His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia, to the Western Prelacy, as well as the events commemorating the 30th anniversary of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I’s enthronement. The volume presents a comprehensive account of the various events held on these historic occasions, accompanied by an extensive collection of photographs documenting their memorable moments.
The publication of this special commemorative volume was made possible through the sponsorship of Western Prelacy benefactors Mr. and Mrs. Harout and Lena Soghomonian. The volume is dedicated to the cherished memory of their beloved brother, the late Hrayr Soghomonian, a national benefactor, recipient of the “Prince of Cilicia” Medal, faithful supporter of the mission of the Holy See of Cilicia, and devoted son of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Published through the efforts of the Western Prelacy, the full-color volume presents a detailed, day by day chronicle of the ceremonies, visits, meetings, and events held throughout the Western Prelacy from October 22 through November 10 of last year, in honor of and in the presence of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I. The accounts are complemented by an extensive collection of photographs capturing the memorable moments of the Pontifical Visit.
The volume also features messages, sermons, addresses, and words of tribute from His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, the Prelate, clergy, and community leaders. Together, these contributions provide a comprehensive account of the sixth Pontifical Visit and highlights the Western Prelacy’s exceptional organization, wholehearted moral and financial support, and active participation, all of which were prominently demonstrated throughout the Pontifical Visit of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I to the Western United States.
