H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian Presides Over The New Year And Christmas Celebration Of Sunday School Teachers

On the morning of Saturday, January 4, 2025, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, presided over the New Year and Christmas celebration for Sunday school teachers, organized by the Sunday School Executive Board. The event was held at Holy Archangels Armenian Church of Crescenta Valley and was attended by a large number of teachers.

Following a welcoming speech and best wishes from Rev. Fr. Ghevont Kirazian, Pastor of Holy Archangels Armenian Church of Crescenta Valley, administrators and teachers from the Sunday schools operating under the auspices of the Western Prelacy offered a religious presentation. Very Rev. Fr. Muron Aznikian, Chair of the Sunday School Executive Board, also addressed the gathering, welcomed the attendees, and emphasized the selfless work and Christian commitment of the devoted Sunday school teachers in promoting education and strengthening the Christian faith among the young Armenian generations.

In his remarks, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian emphasized the vital role of the Sunday schools in local parishes of the Western Prelacy. He highlighted their mission to introduce God to the children and youth of the Armenian community, and to instill the centuries-old Christian faith, principles, and values of the Armenian Church as the foundation of the lives of the new generation. H.E. Archbishop Khacherian urged the attendees to continue their devoted Christian work with unwavering dedication while embracing modern and innovative methods to prepare future spiritual, national, and organizational leaders, ultimately strengthening and advancing the vibrant Armenian community.

The official program was followed by a joyful, cultural, and festive atmosphere of a spiritual nature.
