On Tuesday, August 23, 2022, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, welcomed the Hamazkayin Western Regional Executives to the Prelacy, headed by Chair Mrs. Knar Kortoshian.
During the meeting, Bishop Donoyan commended the nearly century-long activity of the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Union and the achievements recorded in Armenia and Artsakh, at the same time expressed his concerns that the pandemic and the 44-day war in Artsakh caused serious damage to the Armenians and to the survival and enrichment of the spiritual, educational, social and cultural life of Diasporan Armenians.
At the end of his speech, the Prelate expressed his wishes that the days ahead will be peaceful and prosperous, so that the Armenian national life will devote itself to its mission, and Hamazkayin will resume its role in order to further its educational and cultural endeavors with more effective and modern techniques.
Thereafter, the Regional Executives thanked the Bishop for his support and advice, and presented the current programs of Hamazkayin, and the challenges which it faces
