The Prelate Presided Over Vahan and Anoush Chamlian Armenian School Graduation Ceremony

On Saturday, June 12, 2021, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, presided over the graduation ceremony at Vahan and Anoush Chamlian Armenian School, and delivered the diplomas to 79 graduating students.

During the ceremony, remarks were made by teachers, who spoke about the school’s mission, praised the student’s diligence, praised the award winners, and wished them success in their academic lives and future path. Dr. Talin Kargodorian, Principal, congratulated the graduates of the 2020-2021 academic year, and then invited the Prelate to award the diplomas and relay his message to the graduates.

The Prelate highly praised the school’s principal, faculty, teachers and parent councils, and all those who are committed to the school’s day-to-day activities, then assured that the Armenian school is alive and well in the community and in the lives of Armenians in Los Angeles, because the Armenian school is entrusted with a noble mission, which is to prepare a true Armenian.

The Prelate also emphasized that many Armenian youth receive a healthy and complete upbringing within the Vahan and Anoush Chamlian Armenian School, thanks to the unique and precious instructions they receive, Christian and national awareness and curriculum they develop at the school.

The Prelate stated, “It is your responsibility to strengthen your faith, your cultural and family values and to always live as an Armenian with strong bonds with our people and homeland, in honor of the preservation of the spiritual values of the Armenian nation and towards the prosperity of Armenia and our people.”

The graduation ceremony concluded by the Prelate’s closing prayer and blessing.
