On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, presided over the Great Lent luncheon organized by the Parents Support Committee of Vahan and Anoush Chamlian Armenian School of Crescenta Valley. The event was held at the Reflections Venue in Glendale and was attended by more than 200 guests.
The program commenced with remarks by Head of School Dr. Talin Kargodorian. Following her address, the Prelate offered a blessing of the tables and delivered his fatherly message in both Armenian and English. In his remarks, Archbishop Khacherian reflected on the devoted and service-oriented spirit of Armenian Christian women, a legacy passed down through generations of grandmothers, mothers, and sisters, and one that continues to shine today through the presence and active participation of those present.
Archbishop Khacherian also expressed his deep appreciation to the entire school community, particularly the head of school, faculty, staff, and the dedicated women of the Parents Support Committee, whose continued commitment and efforts have played an important role in the school’s ongoing growth and success.
In concluding his remarks, the Prelate commended the school for its commitment to providing a strong national education and emphasized the equally important role of parents and grandparents. Archbishop Khacherian noted that the foundation built at home plays a vital role in shaping children into exemplary Armenian Christians, and he offered well deserved praise to the elder generation for their lasting educational and moral influence on the lives of the youth growing up within Armenian families.
