On the morning of Saturday, June 7, 2025, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, presided over the commencement ceremony for the graduating class of Armenian Mesrobian School in Montebello. The commencement ceremony was attended by Mr. Jack Hadjinian, member of the Western Prelacy Executive Council, along with the school’s extended family, parents, relatives, benefactors, and guests.

In his remarks, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian first congratulated the Montebello Armenian community on the 60th anniversary of Armenian Mesrobian School and commended the administration, faculty, and staff for their committed efforts in preserving both the Armenian spirit and the school’s academic excellence. The Prelate also thanked the parents for entrusting their children to Armenian schools and expressed his appreciation for the benefactors and volunteers who continue to offer financial and moral support to Armenian schools that shape the next generation through Armenian education.

In his message to the graduates, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian said, “Your diplomas are not only the result of more than twelve years of hard work during your educational journey, but also carry the legacy of the first Armenian school, founded 1,625 years ago by the great Armenian teacher, Mesrob Mashdots. This legacy enriches your Armenian national identity and sense of belonging. Today, as worthy inheritors of the centuries old Mesrobian school tradition, you are graduating from Montebello’s Armenian Mesrobian School.”

The Prelate then personally presented diplomas to each of the graduates.
