On the morning of Thursday, March 19, 2026, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, received the 5th grade students of Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School of Hollywood on the occasion of the Holy Easter season. The students arrived at the Western Prelacy Headquarters accompanied by school administrators and teachers and presented a well-prepared cultural program inside Dikran and Zarouhi Der Ghazarian Hall, which included group songs, recitations, and dances.
Archbishop Khacherian commended the students for their spirited performances and was pleasantly surprised when they posed a series of prepared questions, which he answered with great enthusiasm. The Prelate encouraged the students to remain confident, courageous, hardworking, and devoted to their homeland.
The Prelate then led the students to the St. Dertad and St. Ashkhen Chapel of the Western Prelacy, where he offered explanations about the three large murals adorning the chapel walls. The Prelate shared that these murals depict three significant moments in Armenian history: the adoption of Christianity as the state religion of Armenia in 301 A.D., the invention of the Armenian alphabet in 405 A.D., and the Battle of Vartanants in 451 A.D., fought in defense of our Christian faith and homeland.
