On Wednesday, March 14, 2023, during an important meeting with benefactors Mr. & Mrs. Varant and Hoori Melkonian, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, expounded on the social and financial challenges which the Syrian Armenians are facing today. As a result, the benefactor couple immediately showed support towards the Armenians living in Aleppo with a donation of $50,000 dollars, which will be delivered to the Catholicosate of Cilicia by the means of the Western Prelacy.
The Bishop highly commended the Good Samaritan spirit of the benefactor couple, wishing that everyone would participate in the imperative mission of restoring the sense of normalcy of the Syrian Armenians.
