
On Thursday, August 13, 2026, at noon, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Gomidas Torossian, Rev. Fr. Arsen Kassabian, and Rev. Fr. Boghos Baltayan, visited Ararat Home in Mission Hills on the occasion of the Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God. Upon their arrival, the Prelate and accompanying clergy were warmly received by the Chairman of the Executive Committee, Mr. Joseph Kanimian, and members of the staff.
The Prelate and the accompanying clergy shared a heartfelt moment of prayer with the cherished Armenian seniors and conducted a spiritual service, during which Archbishop Khacherian performed the traditional Blessing of the Grapes. The Prelate then delivered an uplifting message to the residents of Ararat Home, expressing his appreciation for their lifelong devotion to their families and for their enduring Armenian Christian faith and values.
At the conclusion of his message, Archbishop Khacherian commended Ararat Home for its important mission of providing Armenian seniors with a dignified and peaceful environment in which to spend their later years, surrounded by the care and comfort of a Christian setting. The Prelate also expressed his appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the Director and staff in carrying out this meaningful mission.
Archbishop Khacherian then bestowed his fatherly blessings upon all present, wishing the Armenian seniors health, comfort, and many peaceful years, while also extending his appreciation and well wishes to the administrators, caregivers, and volunteers for their devoted service and commitment to the well-being of the residents.
