The Latest Joint Edition Of ‘Cilicia’ Periodical Is Published

On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, under the supervision of H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, and by the assistance of Armenian editor Ms. Seta Krikorian and English editor Deacon Mark Shirin (Fresno,) the latest edition (year 2022, 3rd and 4th edition) of “Cilicia” bilingual periodical was published.

This joint edition encompasses over 200 pages of new material, including; literary, historical, student and youth sections, enriching the content of the periodical, also portrays the efforts over the past 6 months, which include various endeavors and accomplishments of the Western Prelacy throughout greater Los Angeles, San Francisco, Fresno, Las Vegas and Lebanon. Furthermore, within this edition, we read about the actions of an entire community with its spiritual, national and cultural components. Also the accomplishments put forth by parish churches, Prelacy Schools, benefactors and community organizations which give life to our national life, meaning and further strengthens our identity as Armenians living in North America.

As for the English section, the periodical aims to become accessible to American-Armenian generations who have difficulty reading and writing in Armenian, in order to strengthen the spiritual, national and cultural ties between the youth and their Armenian identity.

We believe that by entering thousands of Armenian homes, this periodical will have a beneficial and positive effect on the improvement and spread of the Western Armenian language and strengthen the spiritual life of the Armenian-Christian person.
